Scam Awareness & Fraud Prevention

Webinar: an introduction to scam awareness and fraud prevention. We’ve invited IDCARE to talk with us about the support their service provides, types of fraud and scams to be aware of, understanding your rights, tips for prevention and what to do if you or someone you know becomes a victim.

IDCARE

IDCARE is a not-for-profit organisation that provides free practical and confidential advice from specialist identity and cybersecurity counsellors. They provide support for individuals that have concerns about identity or related cybersecurity, who may be victims of scams, fraud-related crimes and in the event of losing a loved one or relationship breakdown. Contact IDCARE for direct enquiries via online help form or call 1800 595 160 to speak with an Identity & Cyber Security Case manager. Additional support services for free translating and interpreting and for hearing or speech impairments are available to assist with phone calls. Visit idcare.org for resources like the Cyber First Aid Kit or Learning centre for more information about identity theft and cybersecurity concerns.
