On the way to Forrest Caves

Hankering for the sight of green and blue
On the way to Forrest Caves
Gnarled bowed trees, twisted limbs, fine branches
a cave like gathering of ancients, old peoples.
Their trunks leaning into each other,
resting on the ground,
tiny flecks of green touching blue.
Invisible reflection, quiet decisions,
I pause and rest.
